When the leaves on the trees change color in the Fall, it is one of the prettiest seasons of the year in Wisconsin. But it can also be the worst season as far as keeping those falling leaves out of your gutters. Do your gutters tend to look like this at the end of the year?
It is important for every homeowner to make sure all debris in the gutters is cleared before the winter snow and ice come. Not clearing your gutters could result in downspouts being clogged, ice building up in the gutter and potentially building up under the shingles causing leaks within your home. Cleaning your gutters, however, is not always an easy task. For most people, installing a type of gutter guard is an easy solution to this yearly problem.
There are many different gutter protection products on the market today. Plastic screens, aluminum covers, foam inserts are just a few different styles that can be found. Some of the different gutter protection products work well, while others do not. Prices can vary greatly between the different types as well. We have found success with one product in particular.
Raindrop gutter guard is like no other guard on the market. It has a low profile, resting on top of the gutter, letting the water flow into the gutter as it would naturally. Raindrop gets installed in pieces – sliding under the first course of shingles and is zip screwed to the top part of the gutter in three places. It is also made of a charcoal-colored polypropylene, which absorbs the suns rays and helps melt the snow and ice in the winter months. Our estimators can explain the differences between some of the different designs of gutter protection and supply a price at the time of the estimate.
